SIU Chi Kit Andy

SIU Chi Kit (Andy) obtained PhD degree in Computational Chemistry from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, China in 2002. He was a Postdoctoral Fellow at The Technical University of Munich, Germany in 2003-2005 and at York University, Canada in 2005-2009. He joined City University of Hong Kong in 2009. Prof. SIU is interested in applying quantum chemical calculations to rationalize molecular and ionic structures and mechanisms of ion-molecule reactions in the gas phase, which serve as intrinsic models for understanding chemical and physical properties of catalytic active sites at the molecular level and improving design of high-performance catalytic materials. Prof. SIU is currently the President of Hong Kong Society of Mass Spectrometry and is an international advisory committee member of the Asian Consortium of Computational Materials Science.
