GUO Wanlin

Dr. Wanlin GUO obtained her Ph.D. degree from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, where she is currently conducting her postdoctoral research. Her research focuses on using mass spectrometry to identify environmental factors responsible for the development of Balkan endemic nephropathy and to develop novel face mask-based sampling methods to assess personal exposure to air pollutants, including 50 toxic substances commonly found in second-hand smoke. Dr. Guo's research findings have resulted in papers published in high-impact international journals, such as Environmental Science and Technology and Analytical Chemistry. During her doctoral program, she was selected to receive the Redbird Academic Excellence Awards for two consecutive years.
